Meet Madalyn Margaret!

While you were all sleeping, we have been very busy!! We were just resigning ourselves to the fact that we would probably have to wait until Monday, when Martin (our agency's Vietnam staff) called us at about 11 a.m. and said we all had to meet in the lobby at 1:30 to go to the orphanage. It was a whirlwind day, and a very emotional one. Each baby had a main caregiver, and ours was crying and holding Maddy. While it was very sad, it also was reassuring to know that the nannies really care about the babies and took very good care of them. All six of the families here got our babies at the same time so there were tears everywhere. So far, Maddy is a very good baby and we have yet to hear her cry. She is sitting up on her own and crawls. She is a tiny little peanut and she already loves her Daddy-the last picture is him making her smile. I will write more about our experience tomorrow, but as you can imagine we are pretty tired. Thanks to everyone for the comments, it really makes us feel connected to home!

Dawn-No one else has mentioned any blogs but i will find out.
Nora-Are you on your way already? We will see you when you get here! Maddy is wearing 6 months pjs right now and they are a little big-so 3-6 months should do it for you-and #2 size diapers.

She's beautiful. Congratulations and Welcome Maddy! We're so excited to meet her. I was crying when I checked your blog today at work and then my coworkers were crying, too. They all feel like they know you personally! Such a wonderful blessing. Enjoy your time together. Griffin has been AMAZING. Your mom is wonderful. The pups are doing fine. Have a wonderful week and a safe trip home. Can't wait.

Hugs,
